Out of the attic and into the light we found an Edison Business Phonograph with a spring motor. While I have several Edison Cylinder Players I have never seen one of these and info on the Net is minimal. Any references or info will help bring this back to life.

My father recently passed away and left me with an absolutely massive collection of records. I would like to start the process of cataloging in a professional way in an Excel spreadsheet and was wondering if one of the experts on this site had one, or could tell me what fields I should have in the spreadsheet to do it right. I would like to take my time over many months, perhaps years and put every field of data a professional from the music industry would appreciate. I would also prefer not to use one of the programs I've seen on the web and just stick with an Excel spreadsheet format.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks

In my day-to-day existence, I might wish pandora rings to gown up for a lot of pursuits, such as others' parties, and also the dates with my pals or classmates. As to dressing myself up, I prefer to wear some jewellries that can match that day's clothing and event. I've to admit that I have several jewellries during my box. I'm keen on collecting different jewelries for example necklaces, bracelets, charms and so on. Normally, a number of them I bought at the quite higher charges as a result of their well-known brand as well as the high qualitirs. Some of these I bought at the very low cost but hold the very poor qualities. I'm so irritated that in which I can purchase the less costly but large top quality products until I uncover the net store: Thomas Sabo Jewellery.
I have recognized that Thomas Sabo Jewellery are incredibly famous on earth. Also as, everyone knows that their rates also are extremely higher. So l seldom acquire these kinds of jewellry for my personal. I simply get them for my expensive friends and people. Now, I get them for my own within the Thomas Sabo Jewelry. I obtain the Thomas Sabo Charms which all are with the acceptable prices. I am so stunned that I find that you will find countless types of pandora bracelet there. All are created so beautiful that I really like them a great deal. I cannot aid myself getting a lot of Thomas Sabo Charms from this website: http://www.fashionthomassabo.com. Now my collection box is filled with many diverse types of Thomas Sabo Charms. Numerous pals of mine surprise why I buy so many charms, "Are you crazy?" Hehe, really, I'm not crazy.
These charms I acquire are all created with organic crystal, real, silver, pearl or pther chosen resources. All make sure they are the genuine items. Nobody can assume that they are well worth buying much. I feel that this kind of jewellry will make a girl shine like a princess at any situations we take part in.In my collection box, the one particular I love considerably may be the pandora earrings 18 Allure. I love the exclusive layout that it has a modest, movable clover leaf. It is just a lucky charm that can current the youthful individuals coming from the age. Plainly I am eternally youthful at this age when donning this Thomas Sabo Charms.

In this collection there are 18 with paper labels not sure if they were gold since they are all faded. These are after 1921 and two are in the 52000 series.
I have 13 that are Pre 1921 a few have the Grey lettering (about 5-6)then there are 13 more that do not have a record number but there are numbers engraved on both sides that are not the same I assume this is a song number. I have had these in my closet since 1996 when My mother passed away. I also have a desk that my grandparents converted from a Thomas Edison Phonograph Cabinet( they removed the speakers and made drawers and shortened the legs) all these disks have been stored wrapped in news paper.
Not sure how to proceed but I am trying to let go of some of my past and keeping these all these years seem too much and its time.

My sister has a portable wind up 78 rpm phonograph. She is trying to find any information about it.
She has sent me a picture, but I don't belive that I can post a picture on this forum.
It is a portable player in a 13X13 inch covered case. The unique feature of this player, is that there is not a tone arm mounted on the base of the machine.
Rather the speaker and reproducer are mounted in the lid of the player. When the lid is lowered, the needle contacts the record and the reproducer works its way straight across the record, tracking perfectly to play the sound. The volume is controlled by a metal plate that covers or opens the speaker opening in the lid of the player.
My e-mail is hflier@comcast.net
I would be happy to send a picture to anyone who wants one for better identification of the player and also possible potential value of the player.

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased an old standing gramophone from a thrift store. The inside box says "Hallet & Davis Boston since 1838". It does not have the handle to play. Does anyone know where I may purchase parts for this? I have no idea but thought someone on here may know.

I'm interested in knowing how Victor Records (and other labels) circulated their American recordings outside the United States. I've looked through a fair amount of the literature on recording companies (histories, discographies, etc.), but so far I've been unable to locate any information on exactly how recordings of American artists were making their way to locations outside the U.S. Were master discs (recorded in the US) shipped to local pressing plants (e.g., the "Dum Dum" plant in Calcutta) and sold through local distributors and stores? Or, were the discs all pressed in the US and then shipped to local offices, distributors, and sellers?

Any help from the collective wisdom would be much appreciated!

I have a C 19 Edison that belonged to my great grandfather. Was passed to my father and then on to me. while my father owned it a part in the needle assembly broke. this part was a 5/8 inch long peice that caused the needle to be suspended in the tone arm. My father took the tone arm apart and now I have a box of parts. Rings of several materials, a disk, and of course the brass parts of the tone arm. some of the rings are broken and will need to be replaced. where do I get parts and the help to put this back into working order? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Dear Sir, I am trying to find a buyer of an old phonograph and records for my parents. The Decca phonograph (dated around the 1950s) still works. There are records ranging from popular to semi-popular such as Loretta(Loretta Lynn), Elvis sings The Wonderful World of Christmas, Rick Nelson, Bill Cosby - Revenge & Why is there Air?, Jaws 2, Tijuana Brass, Jim Nabors, Bob Booker & George Foster presents The First Family 1968,The Best of 66 featuring Steve lawrence, Tony Bennett, Barbara Streisand etc. , The Best of Country Crossroads featuring Glenn Campbell, Jessica Colter, Willie Nelson, Crystal Gayle, Linda Rondstat, Bobbie Gentry, etc. There are also an album of Dr. Doolittle and The Sound of Music. I have picture of these albums, and there are more.I would greatly appreciate any insight you can give me on finding an interested party/person. Thank you. Beechpeech
