HI, I WAS GIVEN A PHONOGRAPH WITH IT'S OLD RECORDS. CAN ANYONE TELL ME ABOUT THE NEEDLES? DO THEY NEED TO BE REPLACED AND IF SO WHERE DO I PURCHASE THEM? THANK YOU, JODY

An Edison will have a permanent diamond needle and does not require changing,if you are playing Edison records 1/4" thick. If you have regular 78's don't try to play them with the Edison reproducer. They will sound terrible and could be damaged. To play 78's with your Edison you will need a different sound box (reproducer). They are around but still hard to find. If you need needles check the internet. EBay would be a good place to start.
